COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS
As a very rough guide the present arts council artist’s rate is generally set at £175 per day.
This works out to roughly £25 per hour and this a good approximation of current rates I would expect for a project. However this is for hours spent in a establishment or location and does not include charges for preparation work and extra services/ evaluation if required.
Community projects are generally very diverse and a overall fee or daily rate will be agreed in advance that all parties are happy with. There are no ‘hidden’ charges and the client has control at all stages.
ILLUSTRATION COMMISSIONS
Again depends on scale and nature of request. A small cartoon starts at 20 pounds and work up from there. A large scale illustration would be 100-200 pounds.
